New Buzz Tips & Tricks! "Top Five Tips for Podcasts!"
Elizabeth Pereira, Buzz Media's President, has penned up the Top Five Tips for Podcasts...
- Prepare with notes or a script: make sure to fully plan out what you want to say in your podcast. Don’t just have an idea and plan on talking to fill it up. Organize your thoughts and either have an outline or a script before you sit down to record.
- Plan out your frequency of podcasts: Pick a schedule and stick to it. If you produce
a weekly podcast, make sure it is released on time each week.
- Speak in your natural voice: People on podcasts are not professional voice actors. If you try to fake it, it will sound that way
- Add music and professional sound effects if appropriate: Having a musical intro and outro can make a simple podcast sound very professional. Just make sure you have permission
- Avoid saying Um and Ah when speaking: This general public speaking rule applies even over the internet. Speak clearly and calmly, it will be the easiest for people to listen to.
